Bands entering the competition

Bands must comprise between 2 and 5 members.
All band members must be over 18 years of age on 1st July 2007.
Applications to enter the competition must be made by completing the online form on this website.
Bands deemed by the organisers to be suitable for entry to the competition will be advised by email with a request to check their entry on the website Bands List.
The organisers will accept no responsibility should the email address be unobtainable.
Bands' details will be added to the Bands List on this website in the order that the entries are received.
Decisions on eligibility will be final. The organisers will not enter into any discussions with bands or their representatives on any matter relating to the selection process.
Whilst the organisers will make every effort to ensure that the entries on the website are accurate, it is the responsibility of the band to check the accuracy of the published information. Amendments must be provided via the enquiry form on the website.
Decisions on the selection of the ten bands to proceed to stage 2 and the six bands to appear at the finals event will be final. The organisers will not enter into any discussions with bands or their representatives on any matter relating to the selection process.
At stage 1 and stage 2. the successful bands will be contacted by email (to the contact email address provided on their entry form) to advise them that they have been selected for the final. If no response is received within 48 hours of the email being sent, the place will be offered to band with the next highest score.
On receipt of a band's acceptance of the offer to take part in the final, the band will be entered on the Finals Concert page of this website. Whilst the organisers will make every effort to ensure that the published information about the band is accurate, it is the responsibility of the band to check the accuracy of the published information. Amendments must be provided via the enquiry form on the website.
The finalists will receive no payment for taking part in the final event.
The selection of the winning band will be at the sole discretion of the judging panel. The organisers will not enter into any discussions with bands or their representatives on any matter relating to the selection process.
The exact details of the winning band's prize will be as close as possible to the prize described on this website. However, owing to the nature of the prize and the fact that elements of it are being supplied by different companies, there could be some variations. The organisers will make every effort to ensure that the prize is at least of the value of that described.
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify bands from the competition if they are deemed to have behaved in a dishonest or unscrupulous way in any matter relating to the competition or the finals event. Any decision taken will be solely at the discretion of the organisers.
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify bands from the competition if they are deemed to have published or broadcast any offensive material.
We reserve the right to amend the rules of entry and terms and conditions at any time.

The Event

Tickets are non-refundable.

In the event of cancellation or postponement we may at our discretion make tickets valid for a future event.

We will make every effort to present the show as advertised. However, we reserve the right to alter the format of the concert without notice.
